We help socially disadvantaged children find their lost motivation for education by implementing extracurricular and other educational activities – peer education, block meetings and field trips. We focus on deepening language skills, reading literacy, mathematical literacy, as well as personal social development and physical skills. Children supported are mainly children from orphanages and other socially disadvantaged individuals from selected primary schools.

The aim of the project is to increase the involved pupils’ personal satisfaction by means of extracurricular activities and to prevent them from leaving the mainstream, to further improve their self-esteem and increase social belonging to the majority and thus contribute to their easier integration. We see an innovative solution in connecting ordinary schools and children’s homes in activities where pupils from different groups meet. In these activities, the emphasis is on developing language skills as the main cause of these children’s failures in education. Other goals are the strengthening of mathematical literacy, physical activities and personal and social development – self-knowledge, self-evaluation, etc. Helping children is delivered through the implementation of free activities, peer education, free excursions, block activities as well as free acquisition of some teaching aids. The project involves 13 children’s homes and 5 primary schools.
