How to positively change one’s impact on the environment was the main theme of the project, which provided interesting resource materials for students and teachers at secondary schools. The aim was to present 12 key topics in a new and interactive form.
The project aimed to improve students’ ability to think critically and to make informed choices about current environmental issues and to offer students opportunities to reduce their negative impact on the environment. The target group was represented by secondary school students, but the emphasis was mainly on students of gymnasiums, business academies and secondary industrial schools in the 2nd and 3rd years.
Conclusions of the project:
On each of the selected topics (energy saving and consumption, waste, ecological footprint, floods, low-energy houses, electromobility, biomass, product life cycle, air quality, human and water regime in the landscape), interesting texts, case studies, simulation games, PowerPoint presentations, and relevant worksheets with online support were prepared for students. At the same time, a methodological guide for teachers was prepared.
