The project focused on promotion of health in pre-school education by means of increased numbers of lecturers knowledgeable about the School for Health programme and implementation of domestic and foreign internships in order to gain and exchange experience in the area of health.
The project was focused on health promotion in pre-school education. This was achieved by increasing number of lecturers with knowledge of the School for Health programme and implementation of domestic and foreign internships for experience transfer. The School for Health programme represents a strategy for health development, prevention and quality in kindergartens. Teachers for the position “Lecturer – Methodist of Health Support” completed several seminars under the School for Health programme. Furthermore, the project involved lecturers’ preparation through examples of good practice in work with children. It presented principles and fundamentals of the healthy kindergarten.
Conclusions of the project:
The main objective of the project was enhancement of kindergarten lecturers’ capabilities to promote the School for Health programme. An additional objective was to create prerequisites for health support in pre-school education.
